Seeking Psychotherapy

It’s completely natural to feel some uncertainty about starting therapy. This is a confidential and supportive space where we can explore your thoughts and feelings together at your own pace. My role as a psychotherapist is to offer understanding and support, helping you make sense of your experiences and gain insight into your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.

About Me

I hold an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from Birkbeck College, University of London. I am currently studying for an MSc in Psychology (Conversion).

I have over seven years experience working in the NHS in mental health settings and volunteering at counselling agencies in London, providing therapy and conducting assessments.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in line with its ethical framework. I attend regular supervision to support reflective practice and to ensure I continue to offer a high standard of care in our work together.

I am working towards my accreditation with the BACP.

What is psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy focuses on helping you understand yourself more deeply, including how past experiences may still be influencing how you feel, think and relate to others today. Often, we can find ourselves repeating patterns or responding in ways that don’t feel helpful, without fully knowing why.

Psychotherapy allows for exploration of these patterns with curiosity and care, supporting greater self-awareness and the possibility of change. Sessions can be short or long-term, depending on what feels right for you, and are generally open and exploratory rather than highly structured.
